Left Without SnowThe wicker baskets on the porch let the wind whisper through the gaps of imperfection as the sun dropped mellow andLeft Without Snow
we drank up her reflections.
We never tasted the light on our tongues, silver gilded and forged in ice. We didn’t follow the rules of winter,
and the days left us plain and humid, lost in a fog of condensed silk.
She caressed us cold and forgiven, through cloth and cover, tendrils sent out on gloss-shined wind. In the end, the chemicals won over, acrid and biting along her breaths.
